Healthy Holiday Handmade Gifts

The holiday season is a frenzy of feasts, consumerism, crowds, and often stress. So much so, that it's easy to get distracted and forget what this time of year is really about – like spending quality time with loved ones, making heart-warming memories, and expressing gratitude and generosity with gifts.

An easy way to avoid the stressful lines and shopping hysteria is by making your own handmade gifts. This way you can ensure that those you care about receive something they will actually use and something that is healthy and nourishing for them. Here are a few colorful, delicious and nutritious ideas for stocking stuffers.

Berry Vinaigrette Dressing

2/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp Organic Berry Power™
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
½ tsp raw honey (optional)
Add all of the ingredients to a small mason jar, screw on the lid, and shake until blended. Put a small festive piece of cloth on top of the mason jar and tie with a bow. Voila! You have a lovely, delectable gift for the salad enthusiasts in your life.

Holiday Spice Blend

2 tbsp Organic Carrot Juice Powder
2 tbsp ground cinnamon
½ tbsp allspice
½ tbsp cloves
½ tbsp ground ginger
¼ tbsp ground nutmeg
¼ tbsp ground cardamom

Put all of the ingredients into a small mason jar or spice jar, screw on the lid, and shake until blended. This versatile, fragrant, and delicious spice blend can be added to warm dairy-free milk to make a scrumptious carrot latte, or to warm apple cider, to your favorite holiday cookie recipe, or even to a creamy squash soup.
