Because who doesn’t love some guilt-free treats, we’ve created some delicious and nutritious summer recipes using our Organic Beet Juice Powder.
Beets are one of those good-for-us foods that can be tricky and time-consuming to incorporate into our daily diets. But their deep, earthy sweetness makes them so good roasted in salads or paired with fresh goat cheese, basil, and extra virgin olive oil. Beets can also be juiced and added to your morning smoothie or a healthy dessert. That’s when the convenience of a high quality beet juice powder can’t be “beet” for a refreshing energy boost on a hot summer day.
The red-violet pigments in beets are not only beautiful; they’re also a highly beneficial antioxidant called betacyanins. Betacyanins, including betaine, can promote your overall health by supporting healthy liver detoxification and nourishing immune health. Beets also contain potassium, vitamin C, iron, and other vitamins and minerals that foster optimal energy and fluid balance.
Beet juice has become popular of late for its ability to improve performance in elite athletes, a novel benefit of beets’ naturally occurring nitrates. Nitrates enhance cardiovascular fitness and endurance by promoting vasodilation in your blood vessels which facilitates greater oxygen flow. Even if you’re not a seasoned athlete, beet juice may be something to consider before your next workout to gain a little edge.
Whether you’re heating up the gym or relaxing poolside, here are a few cool treats to enjoy the best of beets.
