Naturally Flavored Water

Staying hydrated is one of the most important keys for maintaining optimal health. Every organ, tissue and cell needs water to function, and it’s essential for keeping every system in our body in peak condition. But not everybody loves the taste of plain ol’ H2O. Fortunately, there are many creative ways to spruce up the flavor of water with fruit, herbs, and Pure Synergy® powders.

Fruit

A fruit infusion is a delightful way to turn water from drab to fab. Some wonderful options are to add: lemons, lime, oranges, grapefruit, sliced cucumber, pomegranate seeds, strawberries, raspberries, watermelon, pineapple, peaches, or any combination of these.

Herbs

Adding fresh herbs to water makes staying hydrated a pleasure, not a pain. Fresh mint, rosemary, basil, tarragon, lemon verbena, and ginger create delectable beverages as does adding a cinnamon stick or a few cloves. To release the oils and taste of leafy herbs, be sure to muddle them before infusing them into the water.

Powders

A super simple way to not only add flavor, but also nutrients and antioxidants, to your beverage is with PURE SYNERGY® powders. Berry Power™ is a delicious blend of 21 phytonutrient-rich berries and fruits, Pure Radiance C® is a vitamin-packed powder of 11 fruits and berries, and Matcha Power® is our ceremonial grade matcha green tea and an antioxidant powerhouse.

To truly elevate your boring drink to a nectar of the gods, though, a combination of all of the above is the way to go. Here are some simple recipes that you can try.

Pomegranate Berry Bliss

1 quart water
¼ cup pomegranate seeds
1 tbsp Berry Power
Handful of fresh tarragon

In a small bowl, muddle the pomegranate seeds with the back of a wooden spoon, a muddler, or use a mortar and pestle to release the juice. Add the tarragon leaves and lightly muddle. Place into a pitcher and fill with water. Mix in the Berry Power™ powder. Place in fridge and let sit for at least an hour before serving.

Cool Refresher Water

1 quart water
10 cucumber slices
4 lemon slices
4 sprigs fresh mint
2 sprigs fresh rosemary
1 tsp Pure Radiance C

Muddle the mint and rosemary in a bowl or a mortar and pestle. Place into a pitcher and fill with water. Add the cucumber slices, lemon, and mix in the Pure Radiance C® powder. Chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours before serving.

Matcha Mint Exhilaration

1 quart water
1 tbsp Matcha Power powder
1 lime, sliced
¼ cup fresh mint leaves

Using a cocktail shaker or a lidded jar, shake half the water and matcha powder together. Muddle the mint. Put matcha mixture into a pitcher, add the rest of the ingredients and chill in the fridge for an hour before serving.
