Dunaliella Salina Extract

Dunaliella is a salt-loving one-celled microalgae (phytoplankton),best known for its soaring content of beta-carotene (vitamin A) and carotenoids. The saltier the habitat, the higher the beta-carotene levels, which gives these algae a pretty pink-orange hue. Beta-carotene is also a highly prized antioxidant, and even more so when derived from natural sources such as dunaliella. These algae may be small but they’re attracting big attention from scientists and the supplement industry.

Our phytoplankton is grown using pure sunlight as an energy source. Absolutely no herbicides or pesticides are used. The certified organic dunaliella is harvested and gently extracted to concentrate its rich carotenoids.
