Laver

Growing on the rocky shores of the North Atlantic Ocean, laver is the wild cousin to nori, the seaweed most often pressed into sheets to be used for sushi making. Laver is teeming with vitamins B1, B6, B12, C and E and contains significant trace minerals particularly iodine and iron. In Wales, laverbread, a creamy puree of boiled Laver, is considered a delicacy and is known as Welsh caviar.

Our laver comes from the remote, pristine waters of the Gulf of Maine. Our laver is certified organic, sustainably harvested, and, like all our ingredients, meets our strict purity standards for heavy metals and microbiological contamination.
