BERRY QUINOA PORRIDGE
1 cup quinoa
1 ½ cups coconut milk
½ cup water
2 tsp Organic Berry Power™ powder
1-2 tsp raw honey (optional)
Rinse quinoa and place in a small pot with coconut milk and water. Bring to a boil, then lower heat and cover. Cook until all liquid is absorbed, about 15 minutes. Stir in Berry Power™ and honey, and top with fresh fruit, coconut flakes, raisins, nuts, or any other topping that strikes your fancy.
1 tbsp hydrated milk kefir grains
2 cups whole milk
1 tbsp Organic Berry Power™ powder
2 Glass jars
Cheesecloth or paper towel
Pour the milk into one glass jar and stir in the kefir grains. Cover the jar with cheesecloth or paper towel and secure with a rubber band. Let ferment for 12 to 48 hours at room temperature. Agitate the jar now and again to ensure even fermentation of the milk. You’ll know it’s ready when the milk has thickened and tastes tangy. Strain the kefir into the other clean glass jar, catching the kefir grains in the strainer. Place the grains into a fresh batch of milk to make more kefir. Add Organic Berry Power™ powder to your fresh batch of kefir, and enjoy your delicious, protein-rich, probiotic creation!
