Manioc Root

Manioc root, aka cassava or yucca, is used as a natural carrier for our acerola cherry and camu camu juices, which can be very sticky due to their highly concentrated nature. Most other products on the market simply use GMO corn derived maltodextrins for this purpose. Manioc root is the most consumed food staple in the entire world. It is native to Brazil and today grows in tropical regions of the Americas. Not unlike a great many traditional plant foods, our manioc root is transformed to make it entirely safe and nutritious to consume. This is done via fermentation, sprouting, and applying heat to convert it into a safe, natural, non-GMO functional and nutritive ingredient.
