I'm just now learning most vit d is synthetic and toxic. I want to confirm that this vit d is not synthetic at all. Thank yoyu
The vitamin D3 that we currently use is derived/extracted from algae. The form of D3 is cholecalciferol.
Is this product completely vegan?
Yes this product is Vegan
Will this become available as a powder form? Or is it okay to open capsule and add to smoothie etc.?
Yes, our capsules can be opened and mixed directly in food or liquid if you have trouble swallowing or need to reduce your serving size. We can't guarantee you will love the taste, but they will be just as effective. Please note, they will gradually lose their potency level once mixed in liquid or food. As such, you should mix them immediately before consuming your food or beverage. They can be mixed in cold food or can be added to foods after cooking and right before eating. We do not recommend that you add the powder during the cooking process as their nutritional value will be degraded in temperatures 125-130 degrees F or above. Some ideas for mixing: applesauce, nut butter, yogurt, smoothie. Some of the powders may clump and will be difficult to mix with pure liquid.
Is this pregnancy safe?
Yes, we believe this is safe in pregnancy/breastfeeding because it contains ingredients that have sufficient safety information available and are well established whole-food ingredients. Of course you should always speak to your doctor before adding new products into your regimen.
